Ballon d'Or
The Ballon d'Or is an annual football award presented by French news magazine France Football since 1956 and co-organized alongside UEFA since 2024.
Previously, it was awarded only to players from Europe and is widely known as the European Footballer of the Year award, but in 1995, it was expanded to include all players of any footballer that have been active at European clubs. After 2007, coaches and captains of national teams were also given the right to vote.
Player who won the most Ballon d'Or awards is Lionel Messi with 8 awards, and second is Ronaldo with 5 awards. Our national footballer Robert Lewandowski would have won the award in 2020, if it hadn't been canceled due to the covid pandemic.

"co-organized alongside UEFA since 2024"? So UEFA is joining the award committee next year?
